CLASS, WORKSHOP & ROCK BOX TERMS & CONDITIONS

By registering for any class, workshop, educational program, or purchasing a Rock Box subscription offered by the Vista Gem & Mineral Society (VGMS), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Registration and Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of registration or subscription purchase.
  • Registration or subscription is confirmed only after payment has been successfully received.
  • Class space is limited and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

No Refund Policy

  • All class, workshop, educational program, and Rock Box purchases are non-refundable.
  • Refunds will not be issued for missed classes, scheduling conflicts, illness, work obligations, transportation issues, dissatisfaction with a class topic, failure to pick up a Rock Box, or any other personal circumstances.
  • Failure to attend a registered class or collect a purchased Rock Box does not entitle the participant to a refund, credit, or transfer.

No Cancellation Policy

  • Registrations, workshop reservations, and Rock Box purchases may not be canceled once payment has been submitted.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they can attend all scheduled class sessions prior to registration.
  • Rock Box subscriptions may be canceled at any time to prevent future charges; however, previously paid subscription periods are non-refundable.

No Make-Up Classes

  • VGMS does not offer make-up classes for missed sessions.
  • Instruction missed due to absence cannot be rescheduled or provided separately.

Transfers

  • Registrations may not be transferred to another class, workshop, session, Rock Box, or individual unless expressly approved by VGMS management in writing.

Rock Box Program

  • Rock Box contents are curated by VGMS and may vary from month to month.
  • Photographs, advertisements, and promotional materials are representative examples and may not reflect the exact contents received.
  • VGMS reserves the right to substitute materials, specimens, supplies, or other items when necessary.
  • Rock Boxes must be picked up or shipped according to the selected subscription option.
  • VGMS is not responsible for shipping delays, carrier errors, lost packages, or damage occurring after delivery by the carrier.
  • Address changes must be submitted before the applicable shipment date. VGMS is not responsible for packages shipped to an address provided by the subscriber.

Class Changes by VGMS

  • VGMS reserves the right to cancel, postpone, combine, or reschedule classes due to instructor availability, facility issues, low enrollment, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond its control.
  • If VGMS cancels a class before it begins, participants will be offered either:
    • A transfer to a future class; or
    • A full refund of the registration fee.

Membership Requirements

  • Certain classes, workshops, or member benefits may require an active VGMS membership.
  • Participants are responsible for maintaining any required membership status throughout the duration of the class or program.

Materials and Supplies

  • Material fees, supply fees, shipping fees, and membership fees are separate from tuition unless otherwise stated.
  • Materials purchased or provided for a student are non-refundable once ordered, distributed, or consumed.

Liability

  • Participants assume all risks associated with the use of tools, equipment, machinery, and materials.
  • By participating, you agree to follow all safety rules and instructor directions at all times.
  • VGMS is not liable for personal injury, property damage, loss, or theft occurring during participation in any class, workshop, event, or program.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

  • By completing your purchase, you agree to contact VGMS directly to resolve any concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
  • Chargebacks filed in violation of these terms may result in suspension of membership privileges, class participation, future registrations, and Rock Box subscriptions until the matter is resolved.

By completing your registration, subscription, or purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
